Keeping this in mind it is easier to be kind and compassionate to ourselves and others. Most of us spend a large portion of our lives scared or confused, whether we admit it or not. Very few people set out to hurt themselves or others. I have never met a five year old child that hoped to be a drug addict or homeless.
Mindfulness and self awareness are great tools for compassionate living.
