Are You a Coward?

Are you a coward?

This is a question I've started asking of myself every morning along with the following:
  • Are you brave enough to stay true to your values no matter what?
  • Can you face the challenge of rising to a higher calling?
We can start each day trying to be the best person that we can.  Not to compete with or compare ourselves to others, but to compete with the person that we were yesterday and to be a little better today.  We can clarify our vision and purpose each day as we strive to improve.

Can you stand naked -stripped of  labels, norms, and excuses?

Will you resist the temptation to conform? Not when it's easy, or convenient - but no matter what!

  1. Wow, very timely post, the evening before I begin my new job. I learned some hard-won lessons, about staying true to what is right and not selling out, at my previous job. I am so ready to look in the mirror tomorrow morning and challenge that person not to forget them!

  2. Dan! It's as easy as forming any other habit. Become, or rather realize, who we are, and act accordingly. Then do that every single day. Nice post, Dan!

  3. I do think I am living true to my values. Some days it is more of a struggle, but I have at least come to a point where I don't worry about what others think of me,that was huge for me when I realized I was finally free of that.

  4. Wow, I am trying, Dan. I am trying! Some days are easier than others, but I've found that over the years, and with MUCH practice, it's easier to make those decisions that align with my values, reflect, and do it again the next day.

Bethany, love that you're reflecting on Dan's words and applying them in your life and with your new job. We all have to keep looking in that mirror and reminding ourselves, but it's so worth it!

    Thanks, Dan!
